Listed below are our terms and conditions with regards to the usage of this website and the products purchased from here. Certain products may have additional terms and conditions which will be listed along with the products. 

By visiting this site, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions listed below. Please note that these terms and conditions may change without any prior notice. 

1. Use of CandidShutters Store website

You may use the website solely for your personal and non-commercial use. Any content on the website may not be reproduced or duplicated, copied, sold, resold or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to discontinue any product or the whole site without any prior notice. 

You agree not to 

• Defame, abuse, harass, stalk or cause any harm or damage to CandidShutters Store or its associates 
• Impersonate any person or provide any misleading data in your account 
• Hack or deface any portion of the website 
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary rights displayed on our website or on our products 

2. Purchases

Any information furnished by you while making a purchase on our store will be treated confidentially. It is your duty to ensure that the information provided by you is correct and up to date. You agree to pay us the amount as mentioned on the product pages while making any purchase and any additional amount as communicated to you if the configuration of the product bought by you changes. 

The display of products on our website does not necessarily mean that they are in stock and available. Since all our products are made to order and their production depends on raw material supplies and many other factors (e.g., products get upgraded, their designs change, raw material supplies change and so on), we cannot guarantee availability of any product. Since raw materials supply is beyond our control, we therefore urge all our customers to revert promptly when they receive the designs from our side so that we can print your albums on time and in the same configuration which you ordered. However, in case the customers do not revert on time, the delays mean that supplies might change and hence we may have to shift your order to an alternate configuration (shifting to an alternate configuration may imply a change in price). 

Please note that sometimes during your order process some raw materials’ supplies change (for e.g., a particular leather colour which you ordered was in stock when the order was placed but went out of stock when your album came for print) and hence we may have to substitute those parts. In all such cases we will inform you (when your designs go for print) and proceed as per your preferences. 

The retail rates as well as the shipping rates may also change anytime without any prior notice as the final rates are dependent on supplies and many other factors beyond our control. 

3. Media supplied by our customers

Any photograph submitted by you will mean that its ownership is yours. However, the designs made by us using these photos will imply that their (designs’) title of ownership will be ours and we can use them for our promotional purposes and post them on our website/social media handles. We also do photoshoot and video shoot of the album covers/boxes/bags we make for our customers and post them on our website/social media handles or use them for promotional purposes. 

We understand the privacy concerns and if we receive requests for not posting photos online then we adhere to those and do not post inside page designs. However, we reserve the right to post photos and videos of album covers/boxes/bags we make for our customers. 

The photographs supplied by you will automatically imply that you own or possess all the necessary rights to get them altered or processed. Any issue arising out of use of such photographs by us will have to be handled by you. You agree that all the legal and financial involvement in solving such issues will be yours and CandidShutters Store (Your Moments Your Story LLP) and its associates will not be involved in any way. 

4. Policy for shortlisting of photographs supplied by our customers

 For full-service designs: 

It is best if we are provided with the exact number of photos which we must use in the designs. However, in case you are not able to shortlist the images yourself then we can help shortlist them on your behalf. The shortlisted images will be shared with you online so that you can approve them before we begin the design. Excess photographs should not be more than 30% of the actual number of images (which must be used in the design). 

For theme-based designs: 

• Exact number of images which we must use in the designs have to be provided to us. 
• However, if you want us to shortlist the images on your behalf then you can purchase the shortlist add on during the album purchase.  
• The shortlisted images will be shared with you online so that you can approve them before we begin the design.  

5. Policy for sequencing of designs

For full-service designs: 

It is best if the photos are provided to us are named in a sequential order so that arranging them by name makes them fall in the exact same sequence in which you want them to appear in your designs. However, if you are not able to sequence them then we can do the same for you. The sequence of pictures will be shown to you and the same will be followed once approved by you. 

For theme-based designs: 

You will have to provide us the images which are named in a sequential order so that arranging them by name makes them appear in the exact same sequence in which you want them in your designs. However, if you are not able to arrange them then you may buy the sequence add on while placing your order. In this case, the images will be arranged in sequence and shown to you and the same will be followed once approved by you. 

6. Policy for editing of photographs supplied by our customers

The individual photos are not edited before they are used in the album design. We do edit the sheets to enhance their look. As a result, different photos on the sheet may acquire different tones as per the look of the pages. Please note that even if individual edits are required to enhance the page, then such edits are limited to minor cropping, colour enhancements only. In any case, we will not be able to give you edited photos separately. 

7. Revision policy

Revision is a request for modification/change in the existing photo album design with reference to placement, reshuffling, resizing, editing certain image/images or design elements in a page. 

Revision policy is different for full service as well as for theme-based designs. 

For full-service designs: 

Following the Unlimited Revisions Policy, we promise to create an album design which matches your expectations until you are wholly satisfied. However, the following will ‘’not constitute’’ a free revision and will be charged: complete redesigning of all the pages (redesigning without extra charges may be accepted for no more than 10% of the pages), resubmission of new set/retouched set of images (if the new set of images are meant for replacement of images in the existing sheets then we may accept replacements without charges for no more than 10% of the sheets) after the design has started or is in preview, resubmission of a new reference design/designs once the design has started, extensive removal of images where the existing sheets have to be redesigned (redesigning without extra charges maybe be accepted for no more than 10% of the pages) or alteration of dimensions/orientation of the album, extensive and complicated revisions which require extended design hours than stipulated by us, revision requests which mean reverting the designs to previously designed versions (we follow a destructive design process which means that as the design progresses, the source file keeps on getting modified and hence reverting to previous version is not possible. We will have to design again.), changing sequence of an already approved set of images (in case of change of sequence, there will be redesign charges for all the affected sheets). 

In instances of request for removal/addition of pages/sheets/photos during designing, the following rules will apply: 

• In case of deletion of sheets – though the sheets will be deleted, they will still count towards the total number of sheets designed
• In case of addition of sheets – the additional sheets will count towards the total number of sheets designed
• In case of removal of photos, the existing photos must be readjusted to maintain the aesthetics of the sheets. Please note that there will be redesign charges for the number of sheets affected. We may waive off redesign charges for a maximum of 10% of the total number of sheets in your order in this case. However, for other sheets, there will be charges

The additional designing charges will be based on the total number of sheets designed, over and above the number of sheets in your order. 

Additional printing charges, if any, will be based only on the total number of sheets being printed irrespective of the number of sheets designed. 

Please note that once the design has been sent for print, no changes will be possible. Also, if you want any changes post the printing of the design then the designing charges (for the number of sheets affected) and full printing charges will have to be paid again. 

We reserve the right to cancel the order at any stage and after charging our due amount (basis the cancellation policy given on point 9 below), refund your balance (if any). 

For theme-based designs: 

In theme-based designs, we offer 2 rounds of revisions free of charge. No revisions will be allowed beyond 2 rounds. In exceptional cases however, we can allow further rounds which will be charged on a case-to-case basis. The charges will be decided basis the type and rounds of revision required and will be communicated to you beforehand. 

Types of changes allowed in Theme-based designs: 

• Orientation of album or size cannot be changed once the design has started  (for eg. from 12”x15” to 12”x18” or 15”x12”) 
• Revision request i.e., reverting the design to earlier versions will not be possible 
• Changing the sequence of an approved set of pictures will not be possible 
• In case of deletion of sheets, the deleted sheets would be counted towards the total number of sheets designed and charged accordingly 

If you do not like a certain theme (after the designing has been done), the following options are available to you: 

1. Up to 10% of the total number of sheets can be changed to a new theme without any additional charges, once per order 
2. If you do not like more than 10% of the total number of sheets, then the charges will be Rs 50 per sheet (for the remaining 90% sheets) to switch to a new theme 
3. After one round of switching to a new theme, if you want theme styles to be changed again then the charges will be Rs 50 per sheet 
4. You may also switch from theme to full-service designing: 

• If designing of pages has not started, then you will be required to pay the price difference between the theme and full-service designing 
• If designing of pages has started, then you will be required to pay price difference & theme design cost @ Rs 50 times the number of sheets in your current order 
• These price formulae are valid till the album is in design phase. If the album has been sent for printing, then no change will be possible 

8. Policy for proofing of designs

Though we try to remove duplicates, “NG” photos etc. from our side, please note that the version you approve is the version you get in print. Liability of checking for repeats/mistakes does not rest with us. 

Similarly for texts in the design, we do not do their proof reading. We use the content as is provided to us. The liability of doing their proof reading rests with the customer. 

9. Policy for delivery of soft copies of the album design

Please note that we will not be able to provide you with high resolution print ready versions of the design jpegs. You may only receive soft copies (soft copies here mean the design pdfs, which you receive as part of the preview process and which you approve. These pdfs may be downloaded from the preview links, we do not send out separate pdfs) of the final designs and not the actual processed images. 

10. Data retention policy

Due to number of orders received by us and excessive data generated in the process, it is not possible to retain your data beyond a period of 2 months from the order date. Therefore, we are not liable to maintain your designs (or photos) beyond a period of 2 months from the order date if we do not hear from your post sending the designs/order confirmation email. Post this 2-month period you will have to get your pages re designed (we may offer you discount on the design if we are re designing your album). The 2-month retention policy applies to finalised designs as well; when you finalise your design for print but do not pay for it. Once the full payment has been realised and your data has been sent for print, we retain the print ready jpegs for a period of 2 years. 

11. Cancellation Policy

You can choose to cancel your order at any stage. Please note that if the design work (including any kind of editing, culling, sequencing etc.) has been started by us then your initial advance (50% of the total order value) will be forfeited post cancellation. However, in case the design work has not been started then after deducting 5% of the total order value we will refund the remaining balance from the advance received. If the design has been sent for print, then there will not be any refund and 100% of the order amount will be forfeited. 

12. Disputes

For any disputes, the courts of Gurgaon shall have the final authority. 

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent possible, neither CandidShutters nor its associates can be held liable for any loss or damage caused to your data/media or products or any other damage caused due to late delivery or any other issue. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with a service or product is to stop using the service or that product. No refund can be obtained whatsoever.
